Who We Are
(and what we do)

My Dad and I began making New Hampshire maple products when I was a boy. Now with a new larger sugarhouse, my wife and I are continuing the tradition.  In June 2011 we added a new sap hauler: Rebecca.  She is currently in training to be a big help to the operation.

It all starts with the trees.  We have about 1500 taps in the Pittsfield, NH, area...

... to collect about 7000 gallons of sap each year.  Much of it is done using tubing, but we still have out around 130 buckets.

Back in the sugar house ...

... we boil down and process the sap (it takes about 40 gallons of sap to make one gallon of syrup!) ...

... and determine its grade (by a much more scientific process than this!)

Then we fill over a dozen different kinds of containers with sweet, natural syrup ...

... to suit our customers' fancies.
